The trophy is named in honour of the late Bill Masterton, a Minnesota North Stars player who on January 13, 1968, took a body check after passing the puck, and fell backwards, hitting his head on the ice. He left the ice unconscious, and never awoke from his coma. Two days later, Bill Masterton became the first on-ice casualty in NHL history.

úgy látszi az élet engem igazol a sanjose elleni első meccsen egyből felfifyeltem eme sorra és egész szezonban jól játszottak és nem is értettem miért szedték őket szét , de aztán visszaált a régi rend ésazóta gyűjtik szorgalmaaan a pontokat csak tudjuk őket megtartani.
Remélem ők nem lesznek olyanok mint Comrie inkább Smyth példáját kövessék és akkor lehet még jó csapatunk.

Cogs 2 gól, Gagner 2 assist, Nilsson 1 gól egy assist, beállítottuk a tavalyi 71 pontot. Ha fiatalok ilyen szépen és gyorsan fejlődnek, hogy meccseket döntenek el, jövőre lesz két igen jó támadósorunk és irány a ma még messze tűnő PO! Csak ne szedjék szét ezt a sort!
